Ghost of Romney Marsh with fish & chips
Its Halloween folks, so why not join us for a mysterious trip through the remote landscape of Romney Marsh. We start with a short visit to Dobbies Garden Centre in Ashford. After time here we are joined by our guide who will provide commentary as we tour the wide horizons of Romney Marsh which is dotted with small villages, ancient churches and pubs. This was a big smuggling area where ghost stories were told to explain those mysterious bumps in the night.
Windsor Castle self guided tour
A visit to Windsor Castle with a difference. Upon arrival in Windsor we head into the castle for a self guided multimedia tour of the castle itself. The tour is introduced by His Majesty The King and takes you through the Castle Precincts, the State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. The commentary provides a lively insight to the castle’s history.
Sunbury Antiques & Richmond-upon-Thames
We head to Kempton Park Racecourse for one of the UK and Europe’s largest and best loved fairs, a clear favourite amongst antiques enthusiasts, with over 700 traders spread throughout two indoor and outside pitches. Sometime after midday, we then make the short journey to Richmond upon-Thames, a lovely suburb of the metropolis with riverside pubs, an abundance of restaurants and eateries with good shopping available as well.
Chichester and the Weald & Downland Museum
Firstly we spend the morning in the beautiful Cathedral City of Chichester, where today is market day. Then we travel the short distance for an afternoon at the Weald & Downland Living museum, most famous as being the home of the TV programme, The Repair Shop.
